What Other Ivy Leaguers Did

I should mention a couple of other notable Virginia Tech-related stories from around the Ivy League. The Daily Princetonian ran a banner headline (see above) with a story about the shooter's sister, who is an alumna of the school.

And then, there's the Daily Pennsylvanian, which sent a team of reporters down to Blacksburg to file two stories from Virginia Tech.

There's been way too much coverage of this tragedy in the national media, which threatens to trivialize the violence of the day. The other papers did a really good job, and the Pennsylvanian's sending reporters there was legitimate only because of their close location, but still very questionable.

Er- the Daily Pennsylvanian, located in Philadelphia, was nowhere close to the tragedy. To proport as such would be disingenious and/or an inaccurate representation of the University's proximity to Blacksburg.

true--i meant to amend that when i realized how absurd the idea was. i don't really know what motivated the pennsylvanian to do it, they did a fairly good job in retrospect but i'm wary of overstepping humble and physical boundaries in favor of overdoing it and seeming prestigious. difficult question is, what would spec have done if it had the resources?
